The Safe-Card ID™ Services Story
In the late 1980s, company founder Greg Stephens had a personal mission: to effectively provide vital information that would ensure quick and accurate identification for his own children in case of an emergency. As he began to share his idea, he quickly recognized a need to provide this service to other concerned parents. He then developed and patented a child-ID kit. Soon Safe-Card ID Services was established, growing the original idea, and branching into the related field of identification systems, software & supplies.
From those humble beginnings, and over the next 24 years, the company expanded its provision of plastic and ID-badge printing system solutions to organizations across the United States and around the world. In 2013, a new chapter began when the business was sold to Volker Ventures Inc., and its founder and owner Mark Volker. A seasoned technology & financial-services executive, Mark shared the vision and enthusiasm for the business and markets that made Safe-Card ID Services so successful for so long. As President & CEO, he remains committed to excellence in all aspects of the business as it continues to grow and expand.
Today, the company sells and services photo ID-card printer systems, software, supplies, and accessories, including a full-service ID-card service bureau serving hundreds of clients.
